What We Offer

Custom Design

Custom Enclosure Design

Our mechanical engineers design enclosures to your exact specifications. We handle everything from initial concept through 3D modeling, thermal simulation, and prototype fabrication. Typical turnaround: 2-3 weeks from specification to approved drawing.

Thermal Management

Thermal Management Consulting

We analyze your equipment heat output, local climate data, and enclosure constraints to recommend optimal cooling solutions. Options include passive ventilation, forced air, heat exchangers, and precision air conditioning.

Site Surveys

Site Survey & Assessment

Our field engineers assess your installation site, measure environmental conditions (temperature range, humidity, corrosive agents), and provide a detailed infrastructure specification report with recommended products.

Installation Support

Installation & Commissioning

Professional installation services for complex deployments. Our technicians handle anchoring, grounding, cable routing, and environmental sealing to ensure your equipment operates reliably from day one.

Frequently Asked Questions

IP55 is suitable for sheltered outdoor locations with minimal direct water exposure. IP65 handles rain and hose-down scenarios. IP67 is required for installations subject to temporary submersion or extreme weather. We recommend IP65 as the baseline for most outdoor telecom deployments.

Standard custom orders ship in 4-6 weeks from drawing approval. For urgent deployments, we offer an expedited program with 2-3 week turnaround on select enclosure platforms. Contact our sales team for availability on expedited orders.

Yes. Our NEBS Level 3 cabinet line meets GR-63-CORE (physical protection) and GR-1089-CORE (EMC and electrical safety) requirements. These are tested and certified by an independent laboratory and are suitable for deployment in central offices and carrier-grade facilities across North America.

Standard catalog products have no minimum order. Custom enclosure projects typically start at 50 units to justify tooling costs. For smaller custom runs, we can often adapt existing platforms with minor modifications at lower setup costs.

The Hoffman Difference

Before

  • Generic cabinets that do not fit your equipment dimensions
  • Overheating in summer, condensation in winter
  • No cable management planning leads to maintenance headaches
  • Multiple vendors, multiple lead times, finger-pointing on failures

After

  • Enclosures precisely sized for your equipment stack with room for growth
  • Thermal solution matched to local climate and heat load
  • Pre-planned cable routing with labeled pathways and service loops
  • Single source for enclosure, thermal, and cable management from Hoffman

Service Scope & What to Expect

What We Cover

  • Enclosure design, manufacturing, and delivery worldwide
  • Thermal analysis and cooling system specification
  • Site survey and installation support (available in 42 countries)
  • Integration of third-party power systems, PDUs, and monitoring modules

What Falls Outside Our Scope

  • Active network equipment (switches, routers, optical transceivers) — we house them, we do not sell them
  • Civil works (foundations, trenching, pole installation) — we provide specifications for your civil contractor
  • Ongoing network monitoring software — we integrate sensor hardware but recommend third-party NMS platforms
  • Fiber splicing services — we supply splice closures and trays, but field splicing requires a certified fiber technician
